Hey, I'm Shannon, the owner of The Indie Realm. I am an author, a mum of two and partner to my amazing other half Tim. With the help of my family and friends I was able to bring the dream of giving something unique to Perth, a romance bookstore dedicated to independent authors! I am a Romantasy author and from the moment I published Fox Fire, I was saddened by the fact that I wouldn't see my book in a bookstore, most mainstream bookstores not offering spots for independent authors. SCREW IT, I thought I'm going to create a space for indie authors and there bloomed the idea of THE INDIE REALM! We opened in December 2024 with 60 authors on the shelves and now we have over 200 and are still growing! Our space is for the readers of Perth, an amazing community of like minded book lovers and the indie authors of Australia, New Zealand and international. We have a wide range of books across all genres of romance and even have a small section of little to no spice and genres like Sci-Fi, horror, thriller, historical romance, fantasy adventure. We hold book events and signings to get our indie authors in front of their readers! We now have a readers nook and a writer space, you can hire us out for book clubs, writers clubs, book launches and even birthdays!
