Enchanted Escapes - April Mae

A magical realm exists alongside our own
Where fairies and elves and dwarfs’ roam

For nine-year-old Maddie and her aunt Imogen, it is an enchanting escape from the reality none of them want to face. The Ebony Forrest and the kingdoms that surround it offer adventures that Maddie’s inoperable cancer will not afford her in real life.
As Maddie’s dance with the Reaper draws ever closer, she, her mum and her aunt attempt to navigate grief and loss that no amount of magic can prevent.
